Fish Report for 12-10-2021
Anglers have been scoring easy limits of trout
12-10-2021
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake remained near 30 percent of capacity, and water temps have been in the high fifties to low sixties. Bass went for drop shot and Ned rigs last week in 15 to 40 feet of water. Most of the fish are schooled up and anglers who use their electronics can do very well. Better quality bass were reported by anglers throwing glide baits and triple trout. The lake has seen consistent trout stocking five weeks in a row, and that made trout anglers very happy. Anglers scored easy limits using a combination of dough baits, Mousetails, and spoons or spinners. All of those trout got the striper tuned into feeding on them, and anglers have done well throwing Huddleston’s, glide baits, and magnum sized topwater lures near the marina. Striper also went for trolled flies, and umbrella rigs throughout the lake. Bait anglers fooled striper in the ski arm using cut sardines, anchovies, and bloodworms.
