Fish Report for 12-3-2021
The trout action has been excellent
12-3-2021
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Pyramid Lake remained near full pool, and fishing was decent. There was another trout plant that went into the lake a couple days ago. The trout action has been excellent, and anglers used dough bait, minijigs, mousetails, and spinners to score easy limits of trout. Many of the trout spread throughout the lake, and anglers reported locating trout as far as Yellowbar and the dam. Serrano has been another good location for trout anglers. Striper anglers reported good fishing while using cut baits and nightcrawlers. Most of the fish were reported near the Marina and Yellowbar. A few solid striper were also reported by anglers using trout imitation swimbaits, but that bite has been slower than in years past. Bass fishing was fair last week, and anglers used Senkos, drop shot, and Texas rigged worms to fool bass along bluff walls and points. Some good quality crankbait fish were reported by anglers throwing deep diving shad-colored baits parallel to rocky structure. Catfish ate cut baits, chicken liver, and dip in deeper coves around the lake.
