Here at Ming Lake, the bass are moving into the shallows on their beds as water temperatures rise. It’s important to remember that these bass are producing fish for the future and its best to not disturb them. There were a few quality bass reported this week just shy of 5 pounds. Bass have been going for jigs, crankbaits, jerkbaits and soft plastics. Crappie are getting more active and have been caught with live shiners and crappie jigs with nibbles. The bluegill bite is good on wax worms and meal worms, while Carp can be caught with dough baits.
