Success Lake rose to 45 percent of its capacity, and fishing improved last week
3-8-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Success Lake rose to 45 percent of its capacity, and fishing improved last week. Largemouth took drop shot, Ned rigs, and Senkos in green pumpkin, bluegill, and brown colors. The bass have been holding in 10 to 40 feet of water with some deep water spoon fish still coming over the rail. Deep diving crankbaits took a better grade of bass on main lake points and near submerged brush. Catfish ate dip baits, garlic scented nightcrawlers, and cut sardines, and crappie fell for minijigs and small live minnows.
