This week Isabella increased to 41 percent of its capacity. The bass fishing hasn’t improved much; the best action remains off primary lake points and offshore structure in 15 to 35-feet of water with deep diving crankbaits and jigs. The trout fishing here has been the best bet, with most of the reports coming from near Reds Marina. Trout can be taken with garlic scented Powerbait, spinners and worms. The Annual Isabella Lake Fishing Derby is going to be held during March 23-25, 2024. Crappie fishing is fair to good in deeper water around offshore structure with minijigs or live shiners. A pair of local anglers reported solid action on catfish this week. They fooled Whiskerfish with SSS Dip Bait and mackerel.
