Bass have been moving up for the spawn
3-15-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake rose to 47 percent of its storage capacity, and bass have been moving up for the spawn. Largemouth fell for Thin and Pro Senkos in green pumpkin with red flake, Drop shot, and spider jigs. Better quality bass were located out deeper, and they bit deep diving crankbaits and jigs with a crawdad trailer. Catfish anglers fished on the bottom with cut baits, dip bait, and garlic scented nightcrawlers, and crappie were reported over submerged brush on small live minnows and bright colored minijigs.
