Fish Report for 12-17-2021
Cold weather storms have slowed things down here
12-17-2021
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake held at 9 percent capacity this week and the cold weather storms have slowed things down here. The trout bite is fair, and there was a scheduled trout plant here this week by the DFWL. Anglers can find trout with garlic scented Powerbait, pinched crawlers, spinners, and trout-jigs. The bass fishing has been slower the last couple weeks. The water is cold, and the bass have moved into their winter pattern. Crappie have been showing, but the overall crappie bite has been slow. They’ve been holding in deep water structure and have been going for minijigs and live medium minnows. The catfish bite has been fair to good on frozen shad, dip baits and live minnows.
