Anglers reported another good week of striper fishing

Anglers reported another good week of striper fishing, and bait seemed to be what the striper preferred. Bait anglers used cut sardines, anchovies, and jumbo live minnows to get bite. One angler reported scoring striper limits while using chicken liver for catfish. Lure anglers also fooled plenty of striper while using small swimbaits, jerkbaits, and tube baits. Larger catfish have been active lately, and anglers fooled them with cut baits, chicken liver, and dip bait. Bass were slow for most anglers, but David Childress of Cope’s had a few amazing days of topwater bass fishing in the aqueduct. Other anglers used drop shot and Senkos for bites in slower moving water.
