The Fall River Has Been Fishing Great

5-28-2021
Fly and Field Outfitters

The Fall River has been fishing great. There were great blue wing olive hatches during the cooler weather. Now with warmer weather expect more pale morning duns, caddis and even a few green drakes. Nymphing is always consistent with small midges and mayfly patterns on the Fall. Bigger nymphs typically get less attention but they can be worth a try. A larger mayfly or small stonefly nymph can get the job done, although once the fish see big bugs too many times they may get cautious. Small green balanced leeches have a place on your nymph rig too. Strpping streamers can entice an eat when all else fails.
