East Has Gone a Bit Murky

Fly and Field Outfitters

East has gone a bit murky for a bit. Despite this, fishing has been productive. Launching a boat is tricky given the very low water conditions. During this period of turbid water, fish with larger flies than you normally would. Making it easier for the fish to see your patterns is key to success in these kinds of conditions. Balanced leeches, balanced damsels and chironomids are all great bets. Fishing with streamers is also a good way to go during less than clear water. We’ve seen most of the fish being pulled out of 5 - 10 feet of water.
