Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report

Gary Graham
Mike and William from Texas are the dorado kings - they went fishing aboard Ruthless and caught 9 dorado just off Pozo Cota and Cerro del Golden fishing spots! ...Pisces Sportfishing
"We fished with the Pisces group on La Brisa with Captain Ray. The boat was in top shape -- well maintained and all gear good as well. He is a heck of a fishing guide and we look forward to fishing with him next year."...Pisces Sportfishing
The fishing this past week fell flat on its face for the Cabo sportfishing fleets and resulted in fewer charters and anglers going out. It really has become that time of year when the area typically goes into the winter slump for the catching of billfish and dorado and that seems like right where things are today. While billfish are still being seen over widespread areas, they are not being cooperative and biting the presentations, neither live baits nor artificials. Seems like the fish got into the "ignore everything mode" and we are waiting for the change.
A mostly sunny week with warm days and cool evenings and a few passing clouds. Air temps varied from 59 nights to 83 daytime highs and a 55% humidity level.
Surface breezes were primarily flowing in from the westerly direction and ranged from near calm to about 16-mph. The Pacific side, from the shore to about 10 miles off, reflected 73 degree water temps, rising to 74 or 75 at the temp break and farther offshore. Cabo San Lucas to Los Frailes and out about 10 miles was at 74 degrees, rising to 75 at the temp break. ...Cortez Charters, Larry Edwards.
