La Paz, La Ventana and Las Arenas Fish Report
2-20-2015
Gary Graham
Relatively speaking, there's not much to report this week. We had a bit of wind which is characteristic of this time of year. Also, there are more folks in town for whale watching and the big week-long Carnavale than for fishing so everyone was having fun, nevertheless.
The folks that did go out -- many were first-timers just looking for some sunshine and a day out on the water regardless of action so, in cases like that, best to keep close and have some fun and catch fish. The results were enjoyably predictable with cabrilla and bonito up to about 5 pounds. Good action on some schools of tough jack crevalle up to about 10 pounds. Some pargo including some larger ones busted off in the rocks plus sierra along the beaches. All great eating fish! ...Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International
