The lake rose to 22 percent of its capacity, and anglers reported good fishing for largemouth and spotted bass. Drop shot, Ned rigs, and Carolina rigs took fish in 5 to 25 feet of water with a lot of two and three pounders hitting he scales. Bigger females fell for jigs and deep diving crankbaits in deeper water. Crappie anglers reported another good week of fishing while using minijigs, swimbaits, and small live minnows near Horse Creek, and catfish anglers did well while soaking dip bait, garlic scented nightcrawlers, and cut baits. Trout anglers have been patiently waiting for the next trout plant scheduled for the week of March 24.
