The bite should improve after the plant next week

1-12-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden

The DFWL have a scheduled trout plant here next week. Trout action has slowed since the last stocking, but they can be found with minijigs, spinners, garlic scented baits, and worms. The bite should improve after the plant next week. Bluegill can be taken on wax worms, meal worms and red worms. The crappie bit is decent later in the day with live shiners and crappie jigs. The bass action is fair to good on swimbaits, finessed soft plastics and crankbaits. Crappie are more active later in the day with minijigs and live shiners.
