Fish Report for 1-12-2024

1-12-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
This week Isabella rose slightly to 36 percent of capacity. The Crappie bite has been solid on day’s anglers are able to get out between storms. We had good reports of fish over two pounds coming on various jigs and live shiners. The best action has been around structure in 15 to 20 feet of water near Red’s marina and along the South Fork. The largemouth bass action is fair over main lake points at depths to 35 feet. It’s been quality over quantity the past couple weeks on swimbaits, deep-diving crankbaits, jigs, and big worms. The catfish bite has been decent for some anglers and not so good for others. A few Whiskerfish were taken on Triple S Dip Bait, cut mackerel and nightcrawlers. The second trout plant of the season is was slated to go in here this week. Trout have been taken with garlic scented baits, spinners, trout jigs and GULP pinched crawlers.
