Fish Report for 10-6-2023

The concrete jungle kicked out plenty of striped bass

The concrete jungle kicked out plenty of striped bass for some of our local experts while others reported tougher fishing. Jumbo live minnows, live shad, live worms, and cut baits all fooled fish after check gates. Local anglers reported that the trick has been to move from gate to gate until you find the biting fish. Jerkbaits and topwater lures also fooled line sides early and late in the day. Largemouth fell for drop shot tiny flukes, and grubs in the eddies. Bass also took poppers and Whopper Ploppers at sunrise. Catfish anglers did well with dip bait, and chicken liver soaked on the bottom Carolina style.
