Pyramid Lake held near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been in the low to mid-seventies

Pyramid Lake held near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been in the low to mid-seventies. Anglers reported a few topwater and crankbait bass in the mornings, but most

of the fish fell for stick baits, drop shot, and Ned rigs. Shad imitating colors and green pumpkin seemed to fair the best. Anglers reported most of the biting fish holding off main and secondary points in 10 to 20 feet of water. Striped bass took cut baits and lugworms in the marina, Yellowbar, and at the mouth of Freeway Cove. Trolling umbrella rigs has also been effective for fooling decent numbers of 2- and 3-pound line sides. Catfish picked up dip baits, chicken liver, and garlic nightcrawlers.
