Fish Report for 9-16-2022
The change in weather seems to have helped the bite
9-16-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake fell to 7 percent of capacity, and the change in weather seems to have helped the bite. Bass went for deep diving crankbaits, poppers, and walking baits during the morning secession. But several anglers reported wolf packs of spotted bass chasing bait fish, and jerkbaits, weightless Flukes, and small swimbaits got destroyed by the marauding fish. Finesse baits and Senkos worked on main lake points and submerged rock piles. There were few reports for catfish and panfish last week, but recently catfish ate Carolina rigged chicken liver and dip bait. Crappie were fooled with small live minnows over submerged structure.
