Catfish have been plentiful for aqueduct anglers
9-16-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Catfish have been plentiful for aqueduct anglers, and they soaked dip bait, chicken liver, and cut baits in slower moving water for bites. A few cats up to ten pounds were reported. Largemouth continue to chase bait in the early morning before and after check gates, but they have been reluctant to bite larger topwater offerings. Weightless Flukes and drop shot grubs did a decent job of fooling the green bass in the eddies and near structure like grates and bridge pylons. Striper anglers landed zebras while throwing white or Aurora Black colored jerkbaits. Striper also fell for Flukes on a jighead, swimbaits, cut baits and jumbo live minnows.
