Fish Report for 9-2-2022
At Isabella the water levels continue to drop
9-2-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
At Isabella the water levels continue to drop and is currently just over 7 percent of capacity. Bass anglers who can fish the cooler parts of the day have been rewarded with some good fishing sessions near Rocky and Engineer’s Point. Topwater, crankbaits, and finesse plastics were the lures of choice for most anglers. Bass have been chasing shad in the evenings, and anglers who find the feeding fish can really load up. Catfish bite was solid last week with anglers reporting steady action with cut anchovies, chicken liver, and Triple S Dip bait. The Crappie action has been good for some and slower for others. The top bite was around the Dam in 15 to 20-feet of water with Get Bent Baits or live shiners fished on a slow retrieve. Trout have been coming near the Dam in deeper water. The best action has been coming from boaters trolling down deep with Needlefish, Tasmanian Devils and Flicker Shad.
