Fish Report for 1-14-2022
Bass fishing has been fair
1-14-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake rose to 19 percent of capacity, and bass fishing has been fair. The good news is that a recent trout plant gave anglers an opportunity to score easy limits while using dough bait, nightcrawlers, minijigs, and spoons. Bass anglers focused their efforts in deeper water with finesse techniques. Drop shot, Ned rigs, and jigs all worked for bites as deep as 40 feet. A few fish were reported by anglers working vertical spoons as well. Catfish anglers used cut anchovies, dip bait, and chicken liver to fool a few fish.
