The lake rose to 19 percent of capacity, and fishing remains fair. Bass anglers fished deep with jigs and finesse baits to score bites. Most of the fish were reported on main lake points down to 40 feet deep. Some fish were also found closer to shore on Senkos and crankbaits. Trout anglers used dough baits, Mousetails, and Kastmasters to pick away at the remaining stockers. The good news is that there’s another plant scheduled for this week. There have been few reports from big bait anglers at Lake Success this year. Hopefully, that will change. Catfish ate cut baits, dip bait, and chicken liver in deeper coves.
