The lake rose significantly after recent rains which made for very muddy conditions. Currently the lake is at 30 percent of capacity. David Childress and Nathan Towes, of Copes, used finesse techniques to win the Bakersfield Bass Hangover Tournament at Naci last week. Congratulations guys!!! Anglers reported fishing slow with small baits in deeper water for bites, but with new shoreline to explore anglers found biters up shallow as well. Drop shot, darter heads, jigs, and Ned rigs were getting all getting some attention from the spotted bass. Vertical spoons have also worked for bites from both spotted bass and white bass. Catfish ate chicken liver, dip bait, and cut baits.
