According to the fleet manager, Armando Gutierrez, the fishing was
pretty good this past week with the boats fishing the longer days
scoring on the Atlantic sailfish. Armando reported that the angler
pressure is very low again this week and reflected only 7 outings and
only two of those were 8-hour days. Overall countts for the 7 days
reflected 3 sailfish, 11 king mackerel, 6 Giant Attlantic barracuda,
2 amerjack and 5 dorado.
PM Climate: Mostly cloudy with temps from 62 nights to 85 daytime
highs.
Sea Conditions: Typical easterly tropical breezes, 10-15 knots, with
surface popcorn and sea temps at 80 degrees throughout the area.
Best Lure/Bait: Continues to be the ballyhoo, both the skirted and
unskirted.
