The striper surge continues through another week as the boats
continue to produce high catch and release numbers from the Golden
Gate Bank. "Fish Cabo", reporting for 5 fishing days averaged 5
stripers per day, along with a 9 fish day on Tuesday, December 1st.
"Gaviota XI" released 13 stripers for 2 days fished and the overall
average for 47 days fished was 3.5 per boat. The overall counts for
47 days fished reflected a total of 165 stripers, (160 released) 7
yellowffin tun and 39 dorado.
Cabo Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps ranging from 64 nights
to 86 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Quality conditions continue through this week with
temps ranging from 77 at the Golden Gate Bank and slowly increasing
to 79 at the 95 and on into the Sea of Cortez.
Best Fishing area: Continues to be at the Golden Gate Bank, but good
numbers of billfish are being caught along the way to the bank.
Best lure/bait: Live mackerel are best and have been easy to cat ch
at the bank.
Live Bait Supply: Good supply of mostly cabalittos which are working
OK, but the mackerel are working better.
