Mazatlan Fishing Report

6-11-2015
Larry Edwards

Unfortunately, our on location reporter, Ms. Kitcia Ceja, is off this past week on vacation and there is no alternative to supply the local fishing information. In talking with the Dockmaster and Fleet Manager, Geronimo Cevallos, he explained it was about the only time of the year when he can let several of the key personnel o at the same time and get the vacations over with all in one sweep. So, there is no fish report for the past week and it probably was just as well given the presence of Hurricane Blanca in the vicinity of the lower end of the Sea of Cortez. Kitcia will be back and ready to go by this time next week and we will have an updated fishing report available.

Mazatlan Climate: Air temps at 72 nights and 90 daytime highs with a 58% humidity level. It was a mostly partly cloudy week with a couple of days that would have probably closed the port.

Sea Conditions: Warm waters throughout the area and stable at 86-87 degrees. Surface breezes flowing in from the westerly directions that varied from light to about 14 mph along with substantial westerly swell.

Best Fishing Area: None reported

Best Bait/Lure: None reported

Bait Supply: Not reported
