Went out this week; it looked like it was going to be a nice day. Headed straight out west between Salsipuedes and Todos Santos Island. Sun was out and shining -- a little Gregory Isaacs jammin' on the speakers along with a few Coronas. We yo-yo'd all day long for one 20-pound yellow. The surrounding fleet included only ourselves and No Limitz Too. The current was strong and the wind was blowing a bit, nothing too bad. We headed to the island to hit some high spots and trolled on the way there for some bonito. We got to the island around noon and got some quick lingcod action before the wind started howling. We stuck it out for a while but whitecaps came quick and we jetted out of there. ...Joseph Zaragoza

Once again we have amazing reports from the Reel Adventure. Again, fishing at Todos Santos Island and the Banda Bank, using 6X Salas and Tadys A-4 blue and chrome -- they came back to the Marina Coral with 13 yellowtail, between 18 and 28 pounds. With great weather conditions and tons of red crab, the whale watching and yellowtail catching is just awesome! Pretty much any lure that looks like a mackerel or sardine will land you a fish. ...Edgar Sanchez, Marina Coral Store

Good numbers of yellowtail are showing in the lee of South Island and east of South Kelp and SKR. As has been the case all winter, these are deep water fish down around 160 to 220 feet and they are being caught on yoyo iron and dropper loop rigs....http://www.fishdope.com/...... Read More
