Shari Bondy greeted the New Year beginning with her annual whale watching trips at Laguna Ojo de Liebre where she swore it was the most whales she had ever seen so early in the year!
"Dozens of mothers and calves were all around us, along with one poor little guy with a paralyzed tail," she exclaimed.
At Loreto, with temps down to 38??, Rick Hill, Pinchy Sportfishing, was spending his time hiding from the north wind and daydreaming about the great yellowtail season he foresees in early Spring.
Lassley's update as he passed Magdalena Bay was "excellent wahoo action on the ridge, mixed with a small grade of YFT and good grouper and cabrilla, etc."
