Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Fishing Report
7-16-2014
Larry Edwards
This past week was pretty much a repeat of the week before with rough choppy sea conditions and port closures. According to Captain Temo Verboonen this past couple of weeks have been very difficult fishing weather and they are much looking forward to calmer seas, light & variable surface breezes and a settling of the overall adverse summer fishing conditions that will allow them to get back to their fishing. The overall weather conditions are improving by the day and with any luck at all, we will be back to fishing very shortly.
IZ Climate:/b> Air temps holding stable from 75 nights to 92 daytime highs and humidity levels are high. Scattered showers and cloudy conditions off and on through the week.
Sea Conditions:/b> Rough & choppy sea conditions but the temps are excellent and holding at 87-88 from inshore to offshore. Surface breezes flowing from varied directions and causing a confused sea condition.
