The sailfish continue to provide the anglers with bragging rights and this past week was a continuation of the previous week with good catches for the fleet. The overall catches for the week for a total of 31 days fished reflected 11 sailfish, 2 white marlin, 10 giant barracuda, 8 dorado, 23 bonito, 1 blackfin tuna and 1 wahoo for the surface action and 29 mixed snappers, 22 triggerfish, 15 strawberry fish, 10 banana fish, 7 soapfish and 1 grouper for the bottom fishing. The early billfish action is a welcome plus for the anglers and is likely to continue increasing in catch numbers for the next 60 days or so.

Best Fishing Area: Everything in this area starts just outside the Marina Cortez jetties as the deep water drop-off begins att about a quarter miles or so from the Marina entrance.

Best Bait/Lure: The ever abundant ballyhoo baits are caught and provided on a daily basis and continue to be the choice of both, anglers and crews.
