Our Introduction to Fly Fishing Class will thrust you into the world of fly fishing with a working knowledge of all of the key aspects of the sport! It is a comprehensive; eight-hour course that includes both classroom instruction and on-the-water casting lessons with one of our Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) certified casting instructors.

In the classroom you will learn about fly fishing equipment from the fly to the reel seat, basic knot tying, entomology, reading the water, stream tactics and additional equipment and accessories. For future reference, each student will receive a copy of - "The Orvis Guide to Beginning Fly Fishing".

In the afternoon you will take a short drive to a local lake for two-to-three hours of "on the water" instruction in the dynamics and techniques used in fly casting. We provide all the equipment you will need to get casting, but you are welcome to bring your own. Best of all, we accept only six to eight students per class so you are assured personal attention throughout the day in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Cancellations - Cancellations made 14 days prior to class date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 to 14 days prior will be rescheduled. Cancellations made less than 8 days prior to class date will forfeit their class fee and space.
