Bob Marriott's Fly Fishing Store

That moment when a fish rises to a fly is a beautiful sight; when the fly is one of your own creations, that moment is especially rewarding.
Bob Marriott's beginning fly tying class teaches the skills necessary to immediately begin tying your own flies. With the knowledge of the basic techniques of fly tying learned in class, you will be able to tie a wide range of dry and wet flies on your own! You will also leave the class with a better understanding of insect entomology, which will result in a more effective use of all the various fly patterns.

Patterns taught in the class include:

Griffith's Gnat
Woolly Bugger
Soft Hackle
Pheasant tail nymph
Elk Hair Caddis

All fly tying equipment and materials are provided for class use. Class size is limited to six students so you are assured personal attention in a relaxed environment.
