Shogun finds a kelp with enough Yellowtail & Dorado to sink the boat
10-19-2012
Bill Roecker
"We had another incredible day of fishing yet again today," said the report from Shogun October 17. "The weather was gorgeous and the fish were biting! We got on a kelp early this afternoon with enough yellowfin and dorado on it to sink the boat. All the way up until we drove away, every single bait that hit the water was instantly snapped up by either a tuna or a mahi mahi. The mahis were all beautiful grade 15 to 25-pound fish and the tuna were mostly school-sized, but we did have a couple go-arounds on quality 40 to 60-pounders, just enough to keep everyone on their toes. Tonight our plan is to move up the line and spend the remainder of our trip in search of bluefin."
