Intrepid on the way home 1 day early while still looking for some good "table fare"

"Traveling up along the Baja Coast," read the report from Intrepid October 17, "making a few stops here and there to get our lines wet, we found some Calico Bass fishing this afternoon that was full speed on the colorful bass. Everyone could catch a Bass on almost every drop of the Iron or plastic. There were a couple of handfuls of Yellows brought on board as well with a few of those going right into the galley for some Hamachi during tomorrow's Buffet Dinner. We will continue our northbound journey towards home tomorrow playing hopscotch from one spot to another looking for a little more action and table fare. The weather is nice up here along the coast and we chose to keep going rather than anchor up at one of the islands and ride out the 40 mph wind and rain that is forecast for tomorrow. On that note we would like to let all our family and friends know that our group of Big Fish fishermen have elected to come home a day early. We will arrive at Point Loma Sportfishing on Friday Morning the 19th at 0600."
