Shogun returns from their 8 Day Trip with Wahoo, Dorado & Yellowfin, Oct. 20,2012

Aaron Barnhill docked Shogun at Fisherman's Landing October 21 after a good eight-day trip. "We found excellent fishing," he remarked as his 21 anglers and their gear came off the boat. "We got big wahoo, had good dorado fishing, and found some yellowfin up to about 50 pounds."
Ward Collins of Santa Barbara won first place for a 43-pound yellowfin tuna. He said it bit a mackerel on a 4/0 ringed Owner Gorilla hook tied to 50-pound Blackwater fluorocarbon, 100-pound Line One spectra on a Talica 29 reel and a Seeker six and a half-foot Rail Boss rod.
Jeff Harris of Culver City won second place for a 41-pound yellowfin. Matt Puetz of Culver City won third place for a 40.4-pound tuna. He posed with his yellowfin, and remarked he got it on a mackerel and 40-pound fluorocarbon.
