9-6-2024
Fly and Field Outfitters
The Metolius River is fishing well and a personal favorite. Be prepared for dry fly action with a good selection of stoneflies, BWOs, PMDs, caddis and a great rusty spinner hatch in the late afternoon/evening. Nymphing during off-hatch periods has also been productive. Try an October caddis or golden stone as the top nymph and a smaller 16-18 caddis or mayfly imitation on the bottom. And don’t sleep on streamer action for bulls! It’s only going to get better the more Fall approaches.
