The lake held near 64 percent of capacity, and spotted bass fishing has been good. Bass anglers worked from 5 to 30 feet deep with a combination of topwater, reactions baits, and finesse tactics. Drop shot Roboworms in dark green or brown were the most reliable way to entice bites, but Senko style baits, and darter head grubs took fish as well. White bass chased baitfish to the surface throughout the lake, and topwater lures along with spoons and spinners took plenty of fish. Crappie were reliable for anglers soaking small live minnows in 10 to 20 feet of water, and catfish ate garlic scented nightcrawlers and dip bait.
