Fish Report for 1-19-2024
Cut sardines have been the best way to feed striped bass a hook lately
1-19-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Cut sardines have been the best way to feed striped bass a hook lately. Other bait options included jumbo live minnows, lugworms, and anchovies. Lure anglers took a lot of casts with Flukes, tube baits, and jerkbaits. The best place to fish has been after check gates and near outtakes. Successful anglers fished at different locations until locating biting line sides. Catfish took dip baits, chicken liver, and cut baits before and after check gates. Bass anglers used stealth and drop shot 4” plastics to fool largemouth in slower moving water.
