The catfish bite at the aqueduct has been on fire this past week. We had multiple anglers scoring stringers of whiskerfish throughout the aqueduct with dip baits, sardines and chicken liver. The striper bite also improved this week with anglers reporting cut anchovies as the best bait. Bait anglers also used cut sardines and jumbo live shiners. Anglers throwing lures hit the aqueduct at sunup to fool linesides with Flukes, jerkbaits and topwater walking baits. Bass anglers walked the banks with Whopper Ploppers in the mornings and evenings for a handful of fish. Another good technique has been to fish weightless Senkos in slow moving water.
