Consistent fishing can be found at the Twin Lakes. The heat wave will likely make fishing more difficult until the water cools. Surface action is unlikely. The early morning and afternoon have the most potential, try terrestrials, callibaetis or maybe caddis. Damselfly nymphs are often active in warmer water temperatures. We’ve got great balanced and unbalanced damsels at the shop. Fishing birds' nests and dark assassians is a good choice, chironomids and callibaetis can be good too. Stripping leeches and streamers has potential. Get out to fish very early or very late and fish deep. Stay safe while fishing, this heat is no joke. Make sure you keep yourself and the fish healthy during these extreme conditions.
