Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Other than a spending a few hours on the ridge in fruitless search of wahoo, we continued the trek southward in beautiful, flat calm weather that is forecast to remain as such for at least two more days.Yes. As most of you who follow our reports have learned, flat calm, or at least resonably calm weather is an all important component in the equation of big fish success offshore. As such, we are heading to the grounds with nothing but positive thoughts in our group planning a daylight arrival for the whole fleet.

Normally I prefer not speaking in terms of our "group", but in this case it is extremely significant as a postive feature we offer to all of our anglers. I have spoken of it before but must emphasize again the importance of working together offshore to keep track of the best areas through information sharing. In doing so, we collectively maximize ourreplica ferragamo watches replica sevenfriday watches fake porsche design diver watches fake jaeger-lecoultre amvox efforts as well as our time dedicated to the pursuit. The biggest winners are our anglers who realize the benefit of the entire group effort rather than the comparatively minimal coverage of one boat. Needless to say, this should be seriously considered when one is making preparations for his or her future long range voyage.

So, with our entire code group decending on the grounds with full loads of bait, eager, well prepared anglers, and flat calm conditions, we will know tomorrow; and of course, will report accordingly.

I must admit that overall things feel pretty good as our one code boat below got back on the big fish yesterday and the weather forecast promises to go our way during the next few days. In the meantime we are feverishly building new gaffs,...... Read More

Our grand finale wasn't looking pretty by noon today but in a classic example of how quickly things can change in this area, we rolled into a stop on cows that lasted into the dark. When the dust settled we had seven over 200, one over 300, and a handfull of small ones that were 160-190. The final three fish we pulled through the gate were a couple at 290 and a 310, what an incredible way to finish the...... Read More
