La Paz, La Ventana and Las Arenas Fish Report

Jeff Burnham poses with another beautiful sierra. These fish are great eating and tough fighters but during the winter cooler months, they hang out around ridges and beach drop offs near shallow water.

We normally have windy days during this time of year and it's unusual for us to get rain, but nothing is "for sure" when it comes to weather. The good side is that we don't have a lot of anglers this time of year and those we do have usually are not hardcore and nor are they wanting to fish every day. So, with flexible schedules we can ask them to wait until another day later in the week which perhaps will be better. That being said, we got some OK inshore action on sierra, bonito and jack crevalle. Not much in the way of bait but have been using baby bonito when we can get them. ....Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International
