Mike Lackey docked his Vagabond September 13 at Pt. Loma Sportfishing, after a four-day trip to Guadalupe.
"We had three generations of Leges on the boat," he said. "This is a great family group. Everybody on the boat got a tuna. Dave Stegman got a 100-pounder, but it wasn't eligible for the jackpot."
Pete Fallini of Santa Paula won first place for a tubby 122.8-pound tuna, a big fish on a light rig: a sardine on a 4/0 ringed Super Mutu hook tied to 50-pound Soft Steel Ultra line on an Accurate 270 reel and a Calstar 700 M rod.
Richard Gullimore of Santa Paula won second place for an 88-pounder, and Matt Lage of Roswell, GA was third, for an 81.8-pound tuna.
