Mazatlan Fishing Report
9-25-2014
Larry Edwards
A very light fishing week that reflected only three boats fished, two inshore and one offshore. The Port was closed for 5 days due to inclement weather conditions. The "Aries IX" reported in for 1 offshore day that reflected 1 sailfish and the "Anzuelo III", 23' super panga, reflected a two day stretch that provided 15 dorado. The Port was closed for a total of five (5) days due to inclement weather conditions, it appears that when the boats can get out, the fish want to cooperate.
Mazatlan Climate: An 80% chance for t-storms throughout the week with rain mostly in the PMs and nights. Temps ranged from 71 nights to 88 daytime highs with 74% humidity.
Sea Conditions: Sea temps at 85-86 degrees all over the area. Surface breezes varied from calm to 13 mph, mostly from the southerly directions.
Bait Supply: good supply with plenty of fresh rigging baits and live baits. Live bait sold at $1.00 each.
