There's a layer of thin ice on Utah Lake, but please wait for thicker ice.

UTAH LAKE: (December 11) Some anglers report 1 to three inches. Those who have dared to ice fish report hit-or-miss conditions for fish. Some have done fairly well for panfish (such as crappie, bluegill, perch and white bass), but most report having to move around until they find the fish. Please keep in mind that there is a fish-consumption advisory for channel catfish and carp in Utah Lake. If you happen to catch a northern pike, please do not release it. We do not want pike in the lake!
