Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam reports good fishing for Rainbows & Browns
12-14-2013
Utah Division of Wildlife
GREEN RIVER BELOW FLAMING GORGE DAM:
(December 13) Anglers report good fishing for browns and rainbows. The cold weather has shifted the feeding pattern from summer to winter. Try a combination with a streamer (woolly bugger or sculpin) or a larger terrestrial (cicada, grasshopper or pine beetle) and then add a scud or midge larva as a trailer. Imitation eggs are also working. Anglers who use lures are also successful. Try crankbaits, spinners, spoons and jigs in fish, crayfish, black, white or silver/gold colors.
