Brian Evans skippered the Spirit of Adventure trip that arrived at H&M Landing August 9.
"The fish were fierce out there," said David Suba of Pacific Beach.
Bob Friedman of Cedar Pines Park won first place with a 72-pound yellowfin tuna. Bob used 40# Izorline and a 2/0 circle hook, with an Avet 6/4 reel on a Calstar 765 XL rod.
"Brian got us on the fish," remarked Friedman. "We had great quality for albacore and yellowfin, but it took awhile to get them. We had gorgeous weather at Guadalupe, it got a little windy on the way back."
