Finds Big Yellows

Qualifier 105 docked at Pt. Loma Sportfishing July 17 after a five-day trip with skipper Brian Sims. Big yellowtail swept the jackpots.
Julie Smith of Claremont won first place for a 51-pound yellowtail. It was her third trip, she said.
"He was a monster," allowed Julie, "he tried to pull me in. I fought him for 30 minutes. God bless America."
Julie said she fished with a sardine on a 3/0 Hayabusa hook, 30-pound blue Izorline on a Trinidad 30 reel and a Calstar six-foot rod.
Tom Carlisle of Rolling Hills Estates won second place for a 46-pound yellowtail and Abe Cohen of LA was third, for a 42-pound yellowtail.
