Lake Conditions Surface temperature is 49.8 and 48.2 @ 20ft.
Water Clarity Water visibility is at about 2' to 3'

** IMPORTANT NOTE** There are currently no state fishing licenses available in the Lake Morena area so be sure you acquire one before you arrive. The State Licenses is required.

Trout There was more fun early this week. Herchel Ownbey and his son James from National City did well catching 7 rainbows on nightcrawlers in the Dam area. Their 2 largest were 5 lbs 4 oz and 4 lbs 8 ozes. 'The San Pedro Crew came down again. Dan, John, Gil and the rest had fun catching 3 limits in the cabin cove area both on a boat and on shore. They were inflating nightcrawlers and using green powerbait.

Bass No Bass were reported this week.
Catfish A few anglers were surprised to find a catfish on their hook while trout fishing.
Blue Gill No Pan fish were reported this week.
Crappie The crappie are stirring, say a couple of gents, in the north end near the larger boulders. Reports of 2's and 3 have made their way to my desk.
Carp These fish are saving themselves for another time.
