In order to protect Wohlford from invasive exotic Quagga mussels, there is still a temporary ban on private water craft and equipment that could have been exposed to mussels. Restricted equipment includes private boats, canoes, kayaks, float tubes, trolling motors, fish finders, anchors, and other equipment that contacts the water.

Note that beginning Sunday closing time will be pushed back a full hour to seven p.m. due to the start of daylight savings time.

Lake Wohlford is offering $20 all day motorboats to seniors on Tuesdays and Thursdays and to active military on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Half day Bass boats are available Mon-Thurs for 35$ each.

Many large Trout were recorded last week, but none bigger than Keo Sitth's 14.15# caught on a powerworm between the West Buoys and Senior Shoreline. Other notable catches included; Stan Messin's 9.55#, Konghai Chanthaphaung's 8.95#, Fausto Barron's 6.85#, Brandon Avalos's 6.75#, Saleem Bodden's 6.60# and David Lopez's 6.10# Trout. Senior Shoreline and all points west thereof have been doing well. Powerbait and or powerworms (mostly greens and yellows) and salmon eggs have been the top baits.

The pre-spawn has begun and small to medium Bass can be found near structure scoping out territory and readying their nests. Justin Kennedy of Valley Center caught and released a 7.45# Bass Thursday on a plastic worm on Senior Shoreline. Expect the numbers and the size of the Largemouth Bass to increase in the following weeks as the water temperature continues to rise and they begin to spawn. Swimbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics are all excellent baits early in the season.
